I personally am not a fan of floral fragrances because they tend to give me a headache.
Although Black Dress begins with the top note of white carnation, it does not smell floral at all. When I told my testers, they were surprised.
Black Dress may be called sophisticated, complex, heady, upscale, etc. but "floral" has not been mentioned by anyone, as far as I can recall.
So, Black Dress is a combination of white carnation, blood orange, sandalwood, black Damascus rose, smoky woods, and a little "something else". May have described it as an upscale, refined French fragrance. You decide :-)
